In a world where journalism is a forgotten art and “the news” is all too often a pre-produced package of propaganda on behalf of government or corporations, it’s nice to read a piece of genuine news reporting once in a while. This article by Devin Leonard about the US Post Office is the best journalism I’ve read in a while. The US Post Office is an easy target for we libertarians to pick on. It proves, time and again, that the Federal government should not be trying to run a business with our tax dollars.

What amazes me most about this article from Leonard is that he covers the topic so thoroughly and does not seem to have any bias going in. We should all praise Bloomberg Businessweek for publishing such a piece…and write a letter to our Federal congresspeople urging them to privatize first class mail delivery in the US.
